Not sure why this is happening, but no matter what I do, I get a permission error when trying to start the pgsql server via postmaster.
I'm not particularly worried about security (just a testing server, and the live server is already configured to work) so I have /usr/local/pgsql owned by postgres.
Any help is appreciated.
(I've tried setting the whole directory three +x for postgres, no luck.)
