directing to new page on script action

I'm creating a login script and I want to redirect to a user page script when the user's login info has been authenticated. whats the best way to go about this?

i can't seem to get it to work.. i keep getting this error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /path/header.php:10) in /path/header.php on line 12

is there some permissions things i am missing?

You can't send content to the browser before you use it.

You need to use it right after you authenticate your user.

If you use output buffering, you need to flush it when your done. [man]ob_end_flush[/man]
