i am having trouble writing a .php for the following equation.

10 SQRT [(N/K) [(1+LN(X1)]]

10 = multiple factor
SQRT = square root of the equation
LN = natural log
N = number of tournament entrants
K = respective finish of each player

X1= formulaic constant which would be .389
this would be if i placed 3rd in a tournament with 500 people

10 SQRT [(500/3) [(1+ LN(0.389]]
10 SQRT [(166.6) [1+LN(0.389)]]
10 SQRT [(166.6) (1-.944)]
10 SQRT [9.304]
10 3.050
Score = 30.50

i am trying to write this for a league of mine. i am trying to base on a similar calculator i have found for a poker league...here is the link to that...http://poker.dukethor.info/tournycalc.php

php has all functions you need to calculate the scores:

sqrt
log

So your formula nearly looks like the final code.

thanks, im still new to this php stuff. so im trying to learn on the fly so to speak
