rss and fopen problem

hello,

my host company won't let me stream rss using fopen().

they also say that they won't allow rss feeds thru their site.

Is there any way around this? can i get rss to my pages without fopen? they also don't want any kind of socket connex.

I'm a bit gutted as this seems a bit lame, but then I'm only paying $4/ month for the space.

file_get_contents
see if either of those will work. otherwise you may be stuck

Thanks for your reply. I tried these - they didn't work.

So then I emailed my host and the host said "no rss feeds allowed because of fopen/ socket connex security issues".

So I changed host.
