Just wondering if there was any real resources on scripts and code, like a script list. I remember a HTML one that would tell you what the code does and the code,

My idea is that i want to create a simple scripts/site where you use a login system to enter the "back office" then they can add the information to a table (MYSQL) then able to save it, same as uploading pictures.

it also needs to be able to display each table then what contains inside the table.

basically something like this:

Database: Estateagents

Row/Columns: A/b/c/d etc

then each row/column is displayed the contents etc

if you understand what i mean and are able to help i would be very grateful

Well, it can be as simple as a small user authentication script or as robust as a full blown CMS, depending on your needs. These are basic scripts that have been discussed her time and time again. (Afterall, isn't that the gist of what we all do with PHP and MySQL? Extract info from DBs and display it for users...)

In addition to searching these forums, Hotscripts.com has a ton of various scripts... You should also get in the manual found at php.net, and start looking at things like [man]mysql_select_db[/man], [man]mysql_query[/man], [man]mysql_fetch_array[/man], and more...

its just like i said a matter of writing information to a database then re-writing and reading the information, so preferably pretty simple.

whats the best software to use to create the pages?
im guessing not frontpage

Definitely not front page. There is a sticky thread in one of these forums that discusses which editors people use. I personally use Dev-PHP.

The thing you want to remember is NO WYSIWYG and find one that has good syntax highlighting. There are plenty of free ones out there.

thanks very much, like i said and i think i can explain it better now, i want...

User Loads houses page, they get a list of the alphabet.
They select a letter of the alphabet (a), this then reads the row/column "a", this lists all the houses that are in a street beggining with A

The list must be all those that are submitted, so the id mite b 4adarroad, but it displays 4 adar road, then all the details from the different rows/columns depending on the house, is that possible?

i cant remember how it works, does it work in cells it dont does it?

Will i have to it like:
a_streetname
a_price
a_status

may i also suggest getting a book, or at least searching the net for some ideas on db design.

by the sounds of this "this then reads the row/column "a"", its gonna get real messy.

search for 'relational database design'

if you get a good db designed, your coding becomes much easier.
