number format

Hi all!

I've got this little thingie here:

    <select name="maand">
<?	for ($mm="01"; $mm<="12"; $mm++) {
		if ($mm==$w_factmaand) { ?>
          <option selected><? echo $mm; ?></option>
<?		} else { ?>
          <option><? echo $mm; ?></option>
<?		}
	}

The result of this little script is:

01
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
10
11
12

Though i would like it to be:

01
02
03
04.. etc..

There is some type conversion going on here.

Any ideas?

for ($i = 1; $i <= 12; $i++) {
	if ($i == $n)
		$selected = ' selected="selected"';
	else
		$selected = '';
	printf('<option%s>%02d</option>', $selected, $i);
}
echo '</select>';
