PHP application deployment on Apache

Dear Norman,

I've configured Apache for the PHP as an added module. I need help regarding the structure of folders of a PHP application and its deployment on Apache Server i.e. in which folder i've to copy the entire application and get starting response on the browser.

Suppose I have an application named 'xyz' then I should access it like: http://localhost/xyz/index.php

What kind of configuration required for doing this...

Hi Shahid

You'll see a line in the httpd.conf file for Apache 2 which allows you to state from which directory Apache should read files when set to localhost. Create a folder such as c:\phpdocs and put this path into the configuration file.

If you're using Linux then you'll find a directory /usr/local/apache2/htdocs into which you can dump all your PHP files.
