I have a windows mysql database called booksys and wish to copy it to my cobalt raq server can I export from one and import into the other with phpmyadmin somehow ?

Or any other way of doing it I tried to ftp from one to the other but I dont have rights to the mysql directory from ftp ?

assuming you have been granted rights to the two servers then yes, phpMyAdmin has import/export functionality.

Where is the import facility I can see the export but not import

you will need then to first export in sql format the first db then import into the second one using a mysql statement, if you choose sql tab in phpmyadmin you have an option to upload a file choose it and go.
