Mysql records to PHP in columns and rows

This is probably a really old topic, thats been answered about 50 times, but i just wanted to know.

I need to create a script that grabs a load of data from a database to create a thumbnail table. But i need it to be 2 columns wide, and display images going down. I know how to do it in rows, lol, but never tried in columns.

Any help would be great!

I'd recommend building a mockup in HTML before you even try fiddling with PHP. Basically, you need to build an HTML table with 2 columns and multiple rows. Once you've built a table that looks the way you want it, it'll be a matter of creating some PHP code to generate exactly what you built in HTML. It boils down to outputting two columns per row versus just one per row (it'll probably make a lot of sense once you see the HTML code).
