php xml parsing solution required

Dear Friends,

I am getting the hotels inforamtion from a webservices provider as xml data and when trying to parse the data

I am getting special characters instead of the german characters in the hotel names.

how can I solve this one, it is very urgent for me

make sure the font you are using for display contains the special characters you want. Make sure the translation can manage differences in special character codes which differ between OS's; particularly Mac OS uses different codes for than Windows. Lastly make sure your output display header contains the proper charset; for info see:

Lastly charset headers can be set by apache directives which can overrirde your header or meta tags on your output pages; if so you may need to set the charset headers using an .htaccess file.
