List folders in a certain directory

I have a directory, call it "dir". I want to echo a list of folders within that directory. Not files, just folders, and all of them. "dir" is a subdirectory of "main". Let's say "main" is located at mysite.com/main, and the script to be written will be located in main. How would I go about doing this? It may not be done with the PHP5 way, unfortunately. Thanks for any help. 😃

I tried the above code, and when I run it this is the html output:

.<br />
..<br />

No matter how many directories there are in "dir", this is all that is displayed. Any ideas? Thanks for the help. 🙂

try getting rid of the is_dir if statement, maybe php is running as a different user and doesnt have permission to view the file list, just a guess though. if it doesnt list any files either then it could be a problem.
