problem of arabic insertion

hi,

i'm having this problem more than two days:
by a form i'm inserting some text fields in MS SQL database using php. The problem is when i visit my data base by Entreprise Manager i find the fields with a codage like this : &#1587

i'm inserting arabic fields, i already add this line to my forms:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1256">

but i 'm steal getting the same codage, is there someone who can help me?
Instead i have no problem when i want to insert english or french text fields

I am guessing it is your database management tool that is having a problem displaying the Arabic characters.

Why don't you write a quick script that SELECTs the values and prints them on a web page that has the content type set as you specified in your post.

thanks a lot. i don't no where was the problem but i started a new page i just add
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1256">
and everything is all right
