[Resolved] Parse Text

I'm creating a simple message board for my collegues to use at work.

I would like to be able to parse sections of the text that is output from my database.

For example, if the output is:

"Hello my name is Bob :-)"

I would like the display to be:

"Hello my name is Bob <img src="smilie.jpg">"

If anyone can help me out I would be greatful.

store all of the search/replace strings in an array and use [man]str_replace[/man] to do the replacements.
