Ok on a few forums that i post on they have it so when u refresh the page it stays in the same location like it doesnt take you to the very top of the page lots of people told me ohh this cant be done but i've seen it done b4 i was wondering if anyone knew how to do it? It could even be javascript for all i know :bemused: thanks
this is purely a function of the browser and has nothing to do with PHP
thanks would u know how to do it though?
Are they possibly using name anchors?
eg:
<a href="#somenamedanchor">Jump to 'somenamedanchor'</a>
<a name="somenamedanchor">Jumps to this point on the page</a>
That's what this forum does, BTW.

nope its not named anchors unless ther are like 10000 on 1 page b/c it takes u back to the exact location u were at b4 u refreshed the page
I'd be willing to bet that's exactly what they're doing. Does the URL have a '#' in it? There's no limit to how many anchors there can be on a page. It's all done dynamically anyway.

nope its not anchors = / i have no clue
Don't know if it's possible in PHP, but in JavaScript, the code looks something like this:
onClick='history.go()'
That's for when you click on a button. Hope this helps.
