Choping a string

Ok, I have an online shop where it stores all the prices at a database table like that:

11700.0000 or 99.9900 or 115.6500.

What I want is to remove the 2 last digits from the string and become 11700.00 or 99.99 or 115.65. I tried substr but couldn't get it to work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The round() floor() and ceil() functions would be more appropriate than substr()

$num = round($num, 2);
