[Resolved] Option List menu, get full list and values

okay, i know of being able to get a value of selected in Option List menu in a form , no problem.

but I want to get all the values in thefrom of Option List menu, not just the selected one, is it a way to do this with php? or should i just write my self a JS insted?

Do you mean when the user selects multiple entries in a list menu? If so take a look at splitting up the data in the file_get_contents('php://input');

Control click a few values in the select box and only the last is set in request, but the whole list is in the raw data.

Explode me do.

I think i should just use JS for selectiong and submited all that values in my Select List menu.

i.e. I am going to use this JS..

var selectbox=document.getElementById(selectboxid);
var numoptions=selectbox.options.length;

for(var i=0;i<numoptions;i++) {
   selectbox.options[i].selected=true;
}

}

</script>

or, more specifically. what does this meen?

php://input

This is what the it is doing for php://input

Array
(
[mrselecto] => 6
[Submit] => Submit
)

mrselecto=1&mrselecto=2&mrselecto=3&mrselecto=4&mrselecto=5&mrselecto=6&Submit=Submit

so it tell the name of Input tag, and the value of the the Option is selected, the boave 6 number of options are selected in a form that has a a select listing named mrselecto with the values 1, 2 etc..

In the manual it described it like this:

"php://input allows you to read raw POST data. It is a less memory intensive alternative to $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA and does not need any special php.ini directives. "

It's one of the registered streams along with... Oh just just read it here

Pretty useful if you've got multiple form objects all named the same thing.
