I recently setup a mail server and I've started generating e-mails with php scripts using the mail() function. Here is what I'm currently doing:
$Recipient = $Email;
$Subject = "Bearcat Welcome Days";
$Headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
$Headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
$Headers .= 'From: BU Admissions' . "\r\n";
$ConfirmationMessage = "blah blah blah";
mail($Recipient, $Subject, $ConfirmationMessage, $Headers);
The messages are sent and everything is great, with one exception. When I receive the e-mail, the From field reads:
BU@Bingnet2.cc.binghamton.edu
Is there any way I can change this? I work on a college campus and I assume that is set by a DNS server our computing center has running... something I have no access to or control over.
Any help would be great.
