newbie question

I am wondering if anyone knows where i can get a script that uses a search form to search for a value within the table of a dba. What i am trying to do is have a search box that will allow the user to enter in a number and name to which those values will go to the dba and find the approprite information and pull it up regarding the id and name. Is this possible to do?

Have you looked at the code snippet library on this site? I'm sure there's examples here that would do most or all of what you want.
