I'm trying to configure phpMyAdmin. Can't get it to load in any browser, keep getting the same http404 error message when I try to load index.php, page not found.

All advice and help greatfully received. the path is correct this time:

http://localhost/htdocs/phpMyAdmin-2.6.1-pl3/index.php.

Can you post the error messages that you get, since if any of us go to the address you posted then we'll just see a 404 error

Hi,
thanks for your reply. I have managed a partial fix by:$cfg['Servers'][$i]['compress'] = TRUE; (don't know what this does)?
Seems as if phpMyAdmin-2.6.1-pl3 is full of bugs though. It wont run a query window, will not load all the graphics, just keeps producing a load of error messages. IE Object expected line-xxx, syntax error line -xxx. Thats all I keep getting. Is there a more stable version available. I know there are other versions, but are they more stable?
