PayPal IPN Help

Hi Guys,

I know PHP but I know nothing about how it works with PayPal. The problem is, all the tutorials just jump right in and I have a hard time understanding them, they dont explain anything, and ive been doing PHP for quite some time! Basically I want users to be able to donate to my site, and through IPN, it will say how much they donated next to thier username. I want this done instantly, by using mySQL. Is there a tutorial that is easy and starts from the beginning that goes through something similiar?

Have you searched google?, what about here? There are a tonne of tutorials most are relatively easy to use. Have you viewed the one that Paypal give you? Have you tested with sandbox, its basically a way to test your implementation on IPN and not get charged anything, its a free service.
