Can I Use PHP to do this.... ????

Hello. Ok, I have a question (please no poking fun at me).

Let me kind of show you what I want (just a asite that has somethign very similar to what I want mine to do).....

My friend had me make my images and he did a script for me. We have since stopped talking and I got my own server so i have NO CLUE what he wrote my script in. Does PHO do this? If not, what does? If it does, can someoen point me in the right direction to help me make a script similar to such??

yes it can, and nobody will poke fun at you for asking a legit question 😉

the functions you are looking for would be along the lines of

[man]imagecopyresampled/man
[man]imagepng/man
[man]imagecreatefrompng/man

those would be the primary ones....
and of course you will need the teady bear and the ribbon pics seperate.... or it could be done with just the bear and the ribbon generated on the fly by PHP but having 2 seperates would be faster....

if you do a search for dynamic image and my nick you should pull up an old old thread where I explain somethings similiar to that... but I'll gladly help you out. And congratulations if you are looking for one of these because you are expecting 🙂

ok apparently I need more help then I thought.

I looked at the links your provided. How do I I change it based on the day?

I apologize but I am learning by doing (did a few php forms attachments scripts). I learned a buncha languages in school but as you know, longer you dont use them, the more ya forget. Then when you start to deal with it again, it all comes back. I never learned PHO but I learned other langues that are way similar so I am hoping I can pick this up and do it.

Looks like a reoccuring typo to me... transpose the O with P and you get PHP 😉

As far as your script goes BayGirl... do you have anything started so far?

image functions are generally a more advanced leg of PHP
changing based on date...

[man]date/man
[man]time/man
[man]strtotime/man

this collection of functions would help with that

Did I start it? NO!

I have no CLUE where to begin!

I dont kow what is reliant on the changing of the date and such. Making a random code is one thing and easy enough. I just have no clue how to go about doing it the way I want it.
