Sometime tonight (well, maybe it's tonight depending on your $LOCALE), the number of seconds since the epoch will be exactly 1111111111. Shouldn't we have a party or something?

And remember: computers don't store one-tenth exactly in floating-point arithmetic.

OK, I'll be the first to acknowledge my ignorance....

Of course, I didn't spend long in testing. But I'm not sure I understand how to account for the FP stuff, anyway.

Computers don't represent one tenth precisely in floating-point arithmetic because computers use base 2, not base 10.....
It probably isn't worth the effort. It's too geeky even for me. I just wanted to show that no matter how deep into geekiness you could go, you could always go deeper.
