Given that skype is a great tcp/ip phone and that wireless hotspots are popping up more and more frequently (around the UK at least, and i think places like LA are entirely encapsulated) the above article just made me think..
How long will it be until mobile phones are made to run on tcp/ip wireless networks around the country/world?
Would this theory be possible, and if so, wouldn't that just make all calls, including international, really cheap. Handsets could also be made to do far more as they would be far faster than even 3G technology?
