php pages showing code

I am running Apache 2 with PHP4 on FreeBSD. I am trying to access a php script from a web browser and I am only seeing the code of the script and not what it is suppose to do. I edited my httpd.conf and included index.php in the DirectoryIndex. Any thoughts?

look at your httpd.conf and copy&paste all lines containing the word php

I'll take a stab. you have AddType .php twice. That leaves apache confused as to what it should use to parse the .php. Remove one (php3) and see what happens. You probably will have to restart apache.
