So I've been reading for a couple of days on the boards, which is the best site I've found, and everyone says planning, planning, planning.
Well Ive started to plan the way my site will be built, but the database part is where I have least experience, so i thought i would get some opinions.
Basically the site will be a central location for persons in or of an organization to enter donations from any location. In turn, that person/organization will be able to login and view their past donations, and print records/receipts for tax info on their donations.
On the other side, people who need some of the money will be able to apply for funds, and view their past activity (whether or not they've received funds before, and how much, and for what event).
I will need a login script for Donators and a seperate for Applicants.
All the donations will be stored in a database, as well as the applications and their information.
--* What would be beter:
Im not sure how i should store the data in the database. My thinking is to store all information in the same table under a primary key, so all i would have to pull is their number then sort the information from there.
Or do i seperate it into - Donators and Applicants
I have done some minor programming in php with my website. I have been using phpnuke which has all the membership management tools included.
With this project, I want to do everything myself.
Thanks in advanced
