help with a previous next script.

hi guys.

in need some writing up a previous next script. Im going to try to word it.

ok i have a listing page (listings.php)

when you come to this page it displays 4 of properties per page of (how ever many properties there are in the database) now i have already done the script to tell me how pages there are.

ok in my example ther are 4 pages total )16 properties) (its called $total_page)

now when you first come to listing.php i want to show a [next] button. then if you go to page 2 , 3 i want to show a [previous] [next] button then on page 4 i want to show a [previous] button.

ok to get to page 2 now this is the querystring
listings.php?&page1=2 , page 3 is listings.php?&page1=3 , page 4 is listings.php?&page1=4.

ok 1 more small problem you can also get to page 1 by going listings.php?&page1=1

anyone able to help me with this please.

Yup; the word you want to search on these forums for is "pagination". Making the buttons work like links (!) would be Javascript (and styling the links to look like buttons would be CSS).
