quickest way to get # of results.

Hello all,
I'm wondering what is the best way to get the number of total entries in a few mySQL tables without having to actually run a query for each table and then find out how many results I get. I'm sure there is some easy method that i've overlooked. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

use the same functions that you would use for any other mySQL query:
[man]mysql_fetch_array[/man]
[man]mysql_fetch_assoc[/man]
