[Resolved] Enabling mail server in my php.ini

I was sent here from the Newbie Forum to get some help with enabling my mail server in php.ini. Can someone tell me how it is done please?

Hi,
If you have access to php.ini, open it up and edit the following lines to suit:

[mail function]
; For Win32 only.
SMTP = mail.yourisp.com
smtp_port = 25

; For Win32 only.
sendmail_from = [email][e-mail][/email]

; For Unix only.  You may supply arguments as well (default: "sendmail -t -i").
;sendmail_path =

Ty for the reply. I should have asked this Q long ago. What is win32?

My operating system is win XP, so which one of the settings you gave me should I chage in my php.ini?

p.s. I have comcast as my ISP, but that is being shared with me and my roomates. can you please tell me what to do with this line.

SMTP = mail.yourisp.com

I also use yahoo mail if that makes any difference.

I got this code in my php.ini file, and I am not sure what to place for "yourisp"? This is for winXP inorder to enable my mail server.

My Internet Service provider(ISP) is (COMCAST). Me and my other two roomates share the connection through a router. My roomate is the one who set up the router. Is my ISP something I can get from him?
