open source shopping cart

anyone know of a good php opensource shopping cart?

You looked at hotscripts.com yet? There are a tonne of them there.

Also you may want to specify what features as well. Most shopping carts have the basic features but some have lots of useless features for a small site.

i did a search and got tons of results back, but I was not sure if a clear better cart existed that people know of. Kind of like when I think of an open source forum my first thought is PHPBB.

i might just go with any as I planned to tweak it anyways to the look I want.

Well the reason I asked the question was there is one called Oscommerce, I dont use it so cant say much on how good/bad it is but it is rather big.

thanks planetsim, i checked it out and it looks like a good starting point. the basic design can use some work, but that is to be expected.

You might also try zencart, which is basically an oscommerce offshoot; except these guys seem to have their acts together a little better.

Thanks Elizabeth. I'll check that out also. From first look they both are functionally similar. I'll see which one has easier for me to read php code!
