I run an O.C. nightlife website. It's got club reviews and pictures of people getting their groove on. I want users to be able to freely tool around the site. But when you click on a thumbnail to look at a large picture you need to enter your email address. This address will be added to a database and users will be put on the mailing list (They will be told this and can opt out whenever they want). They shouldn't have to do this every time, just once. HOW do I do this? I know it's possible, I've seen it done. I'm a designer not a programmer, but I "get it". If I see some example code of what I should do I can tweak it and make it work. I just could never write it myself from scratch. My ISP setup is PHP and mySQL.
