Does php have a simple search string function?

I just need to search a string for a line of text and if the text is inside the string, then I want to return true.

strsearch("bob", "This shirt belongs to bob");

Is there something like that?

strpos($haystay, $needle) !== false

The above means it's in the string. Make sure you do the !== so that position zero doesn't get confused with not found
