Need help!

Hey everyone! I am building a site for my gaming community in PHP and I have a question about different timezones.

I need to generate a timestamp that will display the logged on user's local time. What's the best way to do this?

Should I ask them for their timezone at registration? If I do it this way, how do I manipulate the different timezones?

If you ask them what their offset is relative to GMT then you can use [man]gmdate[/man] for all your calculations and for every hour add / subtract 3600 seconds from the timestamp.
