[Resolved] Sorting Mysql Dates

I just made a dynamic calendar for a news posting script and I would like each of the days on the calendar to be links only if a news post was made on the displayed day. So if news posts were made on March 03, 2005 and March 05, 2005 then those days would be links on the calendar (Linking to the posts that were made on those days).

I'm storing the dates and times with mySQl like so...
2005-03-03 10:03:22
And the calendar uses a for loop

for($i=0; $i < 42; $i++){
//bla bla bla
}

My question is how do I select all of the posts that were made in given month?

And how should I go about making the days on my calendar link to the news posts as described above?

Could use some wildcards in a SELECT statement to select rows in 1 month, i.e. ...

$query = "SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE datetime='2005-$month-%'";

In MySQL, % = any character(s) 0 or more times (such as * in regular expression).

As to your second question regarding linking, I don't quite understand what you're asking. If you still need help after the above solution, clarify your problem/situation/question a bit, possibly with some code examples. (Write some pseudocode if you don't know exactly how to do something!)

That answers my first question, and I think I can figure out the second...I just need to insert the above query in my calendar's for loop in order to query the DB for each day.
