But I mainly write to entertain my friends and family (and keep my girlfriend's sister who lives in Siberia entertained/updated). Coding stuff and be found sprinkled around here and there, but I don't make it the focus...

hey Astro, did you design that blog from scratch?

Yes. Its a little rough around the edges, but I'm having fun tweaking it to fit my needs. It doesn't have all the nifty little features of an off-the-shelf tool, but I have fun building on to it when I have the time...

I'm posting this as it's a way to create a personal deadline...that I need to meet (because I have a ton of stuff to do as of next Monday).

I will have a journal here by next Friday (in part or in whole, whichever).

Thanks. Simple, lovely and boring is what I do. Actually, there are a few things I can't really do until I create a bunch of entries...so it's really a thing in flux.

sIFR is kind of a pain, but I think it's working properly...I also have some Ajax (javascript) working on this page. Shows just how easy it is to play with...click left and right halves for forward and backwards:

Thanks. The text wanted to be alot bigger there but in the end I had to tame it down. I'm still not sure if it really works but I don't have time to think about it again for awhile.
