After an image management script

Im building a website which will contain many images, as a gallery.
It will be thumbnails which when clicked go to a large picture.

Im not much of a PHP coder, dont know much at all really 🙂
Im not even sure what I would need, but I just dont want to go handcoding every single image into each page.

Basically i would just need the images to automatically be loaded on to the page once Ive uploaded them.
Is this even possible?
And if so, can anyone point me to any free scripts?

All i can find is image gallery scripts, thats not exactly what i want.
I just want something that will automatically display the photos once they are uploaded, i dont want a fully functional photo gallery (too complicated and unnecessary for my site)

about as simple as it gets. just point it at your imgs directory. this script will only display jpg's as is but you can add to that yourself.

this script just displays all the jpgs in a folder, one after the other.

Depending on how you got your setup, you can use my content distribution script: C.A.T.S.

Fully documented, aged, and battle-tested (my site served out almost 4 MILLION pages last month alone thru this script).

I use it to do my moblog (mobile camera phone blog) among other things. Just FTP the files and the script does the rest (no need to do any 'importing' into your site).

If no new files are present...nothing is done. The script also supports the option of doing 'albums' (a little bit more complicated but totally do-able). Suppoort for thumbnail captioning is also in there.

Lots of parameters to customize the final result, completely template based so it can use your site ident. I've the SQL call set up to display newest first (as you will see)

Note: thumbnails in GIF, full-size images in JPEG.
