Dates in forms

I have a form which needs date from and date to fields. I want the input to be dd/mm/yy.

How do I do this. I have set the field type to DATE, but it seems to require input in yyyy/mm/dd.

Am I able to include the / in the form boxes automatically?

Any help would be appreciated.

use [man]strtotime[/man] to convert the incoming dates to unix timestamps then use [man]date[/man] to convert them to any format you want.
