why do you help people?

Many of you answer quite a few PHP questions for members here. I was wondering what is your motive for helping? Is it because of your love of PHP, someone helped you when you were new, you want to display your shameless plug in your sig, or are you just bored out of your mind?

Whatever the reason I am most grateful as this place has been invaluable for me.

I contribute to give back to the system that has helped me save so much time trying to fgure everything out on my own.

people working together can accomplish way more than 1 single individual.

It also gives you a place to get valuable feedback on how to improve your code

Basically because without this forum's help I wouldn't be able to program in PHP like I can today.

I want to help others on this board like they did with me 😉

And so, I try to help in the coding forum sometimes.
