[Resolved] session_id value length

I tried to find the answer on php.net and was surprised that I didn't come across it...

Can anyone tell me the max character length that I could get back if I want to store the session_id() somewhere? I saw the one posting in a forum on zend.com that leads me to believe it may be 32 characters but I'd like to verify w/ another source.

Does anyone know the URL to the page on php.net or another source that definitively spells out the max length?
