I'm making a mysql/php ordering system. Within it, there are various types of users who have their own price points for certain products.
I want people to be able to straight place orders according to the price points, but I also want the ability to offer discounts for larger orders on an individual basis. And, perhaps even set individual price points for users that we have worked out deals on certain products and call to that when they place future orders. Does any one have any suggestions about this?
There are several types of users, for instance dealer, distributor, and retail customer. For each product, I will set a price for each type of user. This is for ease of ordering and a general idea of the prices.
For instance, take product foo from the products table.
product | dealer | distributor | retail customer
foo | $2.00 | $1.50 | $3.00
The price point would be the corresponding price for a user type. For a dealer with product foo, it would be $2.00.
also - a side note. are there any development tools that you find invaluable for productivity when developing in php (i.e. query generators, classes for displaying table data, scripts to generate forms, etc etc)
