GNU advice

I am about to start on a project for the company I work for. It is to build a project tracking system. While researching I found PHProjekt and after trying it online, I downloaded it. A lot of the code is useful to what we are aiming to do and I was just wondering, if I use code taken from PHProject are we still able to sell the end product as our own or can we only use it as a free service? I am really stumped by the GNU but will try to re-read it to see if i can clear it up. Would be greatful of all advice.

You can sell it or give it away, however if you use/modify GPL code then you must license your version via the GPL and you must provide source code to those who a) have binaries you've distributed based on that source code and b) request it.

If you use it for in-house only and don't distribute/sell it then you have no obligations to share the original code or your modifications to it.

I'm sure there is a "contact us wtih questions" link somewhere on the FSF website if you have more.

Thanx, understand a lot more now, will head over there to clear up the last few remaining issues.
