Hi everybody! Don't worry, I'll welcome myself to the forums! 🙂 I am currently developing a games website, but you know me (well actually you don't), I need help with everything. Anyway, the games section of my site will have lots and lots of games, and I do not want to create an individual page for each of them. So what I would like to do is create a 'template' page, and have it customized by PHP to do what I need. For example, one of the things that I need is to load a different game. Say the games are stored in a "Games" folder, I would want to load "/Games/game.swf" into a table on my page. One of the other things that needs to be customized is a table which has a description box and an author box. I thought that maybe I could have it so the hyperlinks to the individual pages look like this:
www.mysite.com/gamegenerator.php?Game=Kickboxing.swf&Author=Somebody&Description=A cool game
so that I could write hyperlinks from ordinary pages.
If anyone could give me any pointers, links, tutorials, pages or friendly help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everybody. This looks like a great forum! 🙂 🙂 🙂
