comparing 2 rows of data in mysql table

Hi There,

I am just wondering how would be the best way to compare two rows of data from a mysql table.

For example: I have a table with a bunch of ways to make "apple pie" and i would like to compare 2 of them. I'd like to know whats the same in each pie and also what is different between the two pies.

Any help would be appreciated!

You could concatenate the rows together, but finding the differences would be a pain (and very likely slow). Sounds like your tables need better normalization.
