[Resolved] simple OO issue...

I wrote this very simple program to get more acquainted with the Object Orienting programming in php, but it is not working. I do not get any out put and I am not sure why!

<?php

class classname
{

  function _construct($param)
  {
    echo "Constructor called with parameter $param <br />";
  }
}

$a = new classname('First');

?>

Can someone help please?

well, unless _construct() is new syntax in PHP5, I don't BELIEVE you can make a constructor that way. I've always just gave the constructor function the same name as the class.

You are absolutely right, but the first underscore you placed there was so small that I missed it at first. But now it is working.

You must have your browser text set extremely small and you must be color-blind 😉

mrhappiness's post was so obvious that it made me chuckle that you shifted some responsibility to him for his "small underscore."
