[Resolved] 2 decimal places??

Hi

Could anybody help me?

I am extracting data from a table in mysql but I am having problems getting to result to 2 decimal places. If shows 2 & 2.1 instead of 2.0 or 2.10.

This is an extract of my php code.

$list .= "<td>".round($row["cost"],2)."</td>";

Does anybody know how to put all figures to 2 decimal places?

Look at sprintf() as it can be your best friend 😃

sprintf("%01.2f", $value);

Check out [man]sprintf[/man]. You can do sprintf('%.2f', $number) where $number is the number you want with 2 decimal places.

Do it outside $list.

$val = sprintf("%01.2f", round($row["cost"],2));
$list .= "<td>". $val . "</td>";
