[Resolved] Is it possible to verify php_ini settings on shared hosting server?

Hi,

I'm battling with my shared server host over the php ini settings.
I'm needing to allow uploads within the 8M range. I can upload up to 2M.

My host has a Static html page displaying the php ini settings (linux) on which is states that the upload_max_filesize is 8M
However when I do a ini_get_all() the value is 2M.

They deny it, and refuse to say more than that they do not offer any php support.

Is this common practice by host servers (BTW this one is GoDaddy).

I need some peer advice on how to either prove to them that they are "mistaken".

what does phpinfo() reveal?

phpinfo also returns value as 2M

well what can you do? obviously 2M is your limit. tell them they are lying and that you have 1000 friends.
