Hi 😃

I'm having a little problem with dates (unix type) stored in my mysql database.

All i simply wish to do is to group these dates into months. So i have serveral records for different days in that month. an i want a results like this. Bearing in mnd that there may not be any records for one month so that would not appear

Month Record
Jan 05 5
Feb 05 6
Apr 05 4

have you tried this:

SELECT DATE_FORMAT(date_field,'%s%Y'),COUNT(*) FROM table GROUP BY DATE_FORMAT(date_field,'%s%Y')

thanks worked a treat after a little work to it to solve that it was stored in a unix stamp.
