switch statement

hy everyone!

got a litte problem with a switch statement....

a number should be counted from mysql and should give out the right output table. (I transformed the variable for this post)

the script exits automaticly after the 2nd condition...
everything that is greater than 20 would'nt be shown!!

the script should look like this:

< 10 --> 1

10 --> 2
20 --> 3
30 --> 4
40 --> 5

i got no clue why my script sucks!
ideas?

Think about what your trying to do.

Would anything that is greater than 20 also be greater than 10? Is 39 greater than 10, 20, and 30?

You aren't stopping the 10 - 19 switch. So the number 19 is fulfilling the statement of greater than ten. So is 21. But because it fulfills the first switch, it won't do any other. You should probably have something like:

case $var < 10:
break;
case 10<=$var<=19:
break;
case 20<=$var<=29:
break;
and so on, and so on.
