[Resolved] On Refresh - no double entries?

Hi there,

what would be the best way to do so, that when you refresh a PHP page ( and maybe when you press back and forward ) it doesn't write/delete to database again?

Also, how ( with what code ) could i forward to a certain page ( for instance: after writing to database, it would forward any messages to report.php and show the message there - write was successful or write was unsuccessful and so on .. )?

header('Location: http://www.example.com/'); to redirect. You must not output anything before using that function.

Use a session variable to make sure they don't resubmit the form. Just set a session variable when they submit and check to see if it exist before doing anything else, if its there then don't do the code.

The only thing i'd like to know now is how to pass a sting to the next ( forwarded ) page - doing it with code, not submit button.

Use a [man]session[/man] as suggested above. Store the data in a session variable so it can be retreived from another page (on the same domain).
