subtracting

ahh somewhat dumb question

how do I subtract a value in a table with a number? I have this

echo "<font color=\"red\">$row['price'] - 10.00</font>";

Just like you did it. I would personally make a few changes though... I would concatenate it and put the parens around it. (Or, if you are always subtracting 10, you could just write your SQL with the math in it instead.)

echo "<font color=\"red\">".($row['price']-10.00)."</font>";

I laughed. As soon as I posted, the email came in saying there was a reply. I think that's the first time, I've been involved in a double post like that where the time was exact to the minute. (and me and my wordiness got in first this time) LOL
