I am using easy php and the newline character is not working. Can someone please tell me what to do?

I don't know what easy php is, but do you mean that the \n character doesn't case line breaks when outputting to a browser? You need to use <br> or <br /> if you're xml'ing it.

To expand upon Drakla's excellent post, you must also encase the special '\n' newline character in double quotes.

Incorrect:

$string = 'New\nLine';

Correct:

$string = "New\nLine";

But, as Drakla said, \n won't get you a new line in HTML; <br> does the trick.
